Cake Portions

This is the easiest way to portion a cake to get the most servings from it. You will need a large sharp knife and either a chopping board or big plate/tray.

How to Cut

  1. 1

Remove any inedible decorations from the cake.

  2. 2

Cut the whole way across the cake with a large sharp knife.

  3. 3

Lay the cut piece onto your chopping board or plate and cut again into finger slices.

  4. 4

You can first cut lengthways in half, then in half again if you want to be really precise!

  5. 5

Cut through the middle of each finger slice to give you double portions.

  6. 6

    Serve up and enjoy!
